About

Fifth Exile is a Boston-based publishing company formed in March 2014 by Brent Peckham and Tony Gao. We aim to innovate the landscape of digital publishing by expanding and enhancing the reader experience through web technology and social media. Our first IP, Coranox, was released on February 17, 2015 in paperback and in various e-book formats.

Who We Are

Brent Peckham

Brent graduated in 2007 with a B.S. in computer science. Since graduation he has held a variety of jobs, but his passion has always been telling stories. He draws inspiration from his life experiences as well as the many stories he’s read over the years. Brent strongly believes that through use of various social media platforms as well as in-depth, interactive web applications a storytelling experience like no other can be created. He hopes to use Fifth Exile to achieve that goal.

Tony Gao

Tony graduated in 2006 with a B.S. in biomedical engineering and minors in mathematics and philosophy. He also obtained an M.S. in neuroscience and is currently in pursuit of a PhD in biomedical engineering. During his prolonged entrenchment in the world of academia, he has found time to read and consume visual storytelling media voraciously. His enthusiasm for a well-told tale is eclipsed only by his desire to craft one of his own. He is constantly striving to reconcile the boundless creative potential of speculative fiction with his own personal mantra of anchoring stories with characters who are unique and relatable.

It’s definitely worth checking out.
